Cornerstone Construction Management Group is a full-service construction management and general contracting firm specializing in multifamily redevelopment, founded in Detroit in 2020.
Our story
Cornerstone started with a builder's frustration: in Detroit, it was too hard to find reliable labor, trustworthy pricing, and quality work at a fair value.
So we built the company we wished we could hire. Every project starts with preconstruction: a real scope, real bids, and a number owners and lenders can trust. Then we deliver it with the same discipline, from a single home to a multi-building redevelopment.
Today we serve developers, owners, lenders, and general contractors across Metro Detroit, with a growing network of vetted trade partners behind every project.

Founded Cornerstone in 2020 and leads strategy, client relationships, estimating, contracts, and project delivery. Michigan licensed builder; University of Michigan Construction Project Management certificate; B.B.A., Eastern Michigan University.
Christopher Holcomb
Michigan licensed builder and Wayne State industrial engineer with Six Sigma Green Belt certification, a decade as a process engineer at Ford, and 12+ years in Detroit renovation.
Cameron Boyd
With Cornerstone since 2021, bringing 6+ years across residential, multifamily, and specialty construction nationwide, with disciplined budget oversight and clear communication.
Jamal Gatling
Leads field operations across multifamily renovations representing $5M+ in combined contract value, coordinating subcontractors and performing daily quality control.
Dawn Shephard
12+ years in procurement and materials management. Runs purchasing, vendor coordination, and delivery sequencing so materials arrive on schedule.
Kendall Faison
Supports operations with scheduling, bookkeeping, and client communications. Bilingual in Spanish.
